Recorded in 1997 on cassette one grey light rain afternoon in a Madison Valley house's earthen basement with one break taken to walk the dog.

Chez Vegas (pronounced CheZZ Vegas) played open mikes at The O.K. Hotel (hosted by Maurice Caldwell) and other Pioneer Square and downtown bars long since closed and forgotten.

They played shows at an Independent Exposure film screening at the Speakeasy Cafe (described in Vancouver's Taxi as "settling-in music which not only sets the surreal mood, but is a fascinating show by itself"), the opening of the zine library at Richard Hugo House, The Sheraton Grand Ballroom employee Christmas party talent show, and a house party basement in Wallingford.

A review of Inebria appeared in The Rocket's annual review of demo tapes:

"The prodigality of feedback and equally heavy doses of static sounds drown out any scrap of intelligible musicianship Chez Vegas maintain. Quasi "freestyle" vocals on Inebria's lead-in track do nothing ("Technique"). When Chez Vegas forsake the vocals on further cuts, the results are dreary, painful and just plain dumb..."
